Captain Kingsbury of the Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office addressed a crowd of nearly 80 attendees during the "Meet and Greet" event held at the Church of the Good Shepherd. Discussion primarily focused on security concerns in Sandia Heights, including the importance of community vigilance in ensuring safety. Meanwhile, Vice President Bob Bower highlighted the rise in criminal activities in the area and emphasized the reliance on Sandia Heights Services (SHS) and Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office for security, shedding light on the challenges faced due to funding constraints.
The December 2016 newsletter for Sandia Heights residents covers various real estate listings within the community, including homes on lots smaller and larger than .50 acres. It further provides information on office closure for the holidays, fall green waste collection, and an overview of approved projects under the ACC activity log. In addition to real estate listings, the newsletter also highlights volunteer opportunities within the Covenant Support Committee and offers advice on holiday lighting, parking, and trash disposal during the festive season. A notice regarding the upcoming SHHA Annual Meeting in February 2017 at the Church of the Good Shepherd is also included in the newsletter.
