The newsletters provide detailed Annual Reports from the President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer of the Sandia Heights Homeowners Association (SHHA). Key highlights include security upgrades, development of submission procedures for GRIT articles, revised policies and guidelines, financial reports, strategic planning initiatives, and board meeting assessments. Additionally, committee reports cover activities such as tramway cleanups, wildfire preparedness plans, membership drives, and financial reviews. Multiple committee chairs and members are mentioned along with their responsibilities in maintaining community standards and enhancing member benefits.
The Architectural Control Committee (ACC) managed 300 projects in 2018, approving a total of 301 applications. They engaged with the County on new community developments like North Tramway Estates (NTE) and attended various county meetings to address zoning changes affecting Sandia Heights properties. Additionally, the ACC ensured prompt response times, monthly meetings, and published design guidelines and project updates for residents on the SHHA website and in the GRIT newsletter. Musicians, church events, dining activities, and youth chorus opportunities were featured in the Community Event Bulletin Board, where residents were informed about various social and musical engagement opportunities in the area. A Fire Wise Program was scheduled for March to educate residents about fire response, evacuation procedures, and recovery efforts specific to Sandia Heights.
