A zoning change request from A1 to R2 for a property on Tramway Blvd and Paseo Del Norte has been postponed, with plans to revise it into a special use permit (SUP) for a planned residential development (PRD). At a town meeting, concerns were raised about the development, including its density, building limitations, and environmental impact. The SHHA officers will work with an attorney to address these concerns and represent the community's position on this matter. Detailed statistics from the Sandia Heights Security Patrol were also provided in the newsletter, along with a summary of recent Architectural Control Committee approvals and upcoming neighborhood events.

The Sandia Heights Homeowners Association (SHHA) reminds residents that covenants are binding documents regardless of SHHA affiliation, stressing their importance for all property owners. The Architectural Control Committee requests compliance through legal means for covenant violations, emphasizing the shared responsibility of all residents. Updates on W. L. Jackson Park include negotiations with the Bernalillo County Parks Dept for additional park amenities such as benches, picnic tables, and a bike rack, enhancing the overall park experience for residents.

Volunteers are sought for the Bylaws Committee within the SHHA to serve as community members, with no board membership required. The upcoming Spring Forward and RECYCLE event on March 24, 2007, at the Sandia Heights Services Office will focus on recycling plastics, newspaper, junk mail, cardboard, paper, aluminum, and steel, with a call for volunteers to assist in this recycling effort.
