The September 2007 Sandia Heights Homeowners Association (SHHA) newsletter highlights the ongoing projects and committees' work within the community. The Architectural Control Committee (ACC) is addressing numerous projects and ensuring compliance with community covenants, while the Covenant Support Committee (CSC) tackles covenant violation reports and rezoning issues. Members are encouraged to volunteer their time to assist the association, with a specific call for volunteers on the ACC, CSC, and Community Service and Membership Committee. Additionally, the newsletter features an upcoming Coffeehouse Concert Series event with movie and TV personality Tim Grimm performing, emphasizing an alcohol-free evening of music and community involvement.
Residents are reminded of the importance of obeying red lights while driving, biking, or walking. Disregarding red lights sets a dangerous example, especially for children. Additionally, concerns were raised about the presence of Rabbit fever in the area after numerous dead rabbits were found, prompting residents to educate themselves on the disease's risks and spread.
