“It’s not a question of if, but when, the next major wildfire will occur in New Mexico.” By taking personal responsibility for protecting yourself, your family, and your property, you will be better prepared, increasing your personal safety and your home’s chance of surviving a wildfire. Protecting your home and making your home fire resistant is your personal responsibility, and your neighbors will also appreciate it. Once you have done this, being ready when a fire occurs, and leaving when told to do so, will assure you have the best chance of survival.
