The Sandia Heights Homeowners Association board has been active, meeting with the county commissioner to address concerns about services in the area and pushing for improvements like the widening of Tramway Boulevard. Efforts to enforce covenants have resulted in legal action against non-compliant homeowners, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the area's beauty through covenant compliance. The board is also preparing for the transition as the Sandia Peak Tram Company withdraws its services, a significant change requiring strategic planning and community input.
Various services are offered in the newsletter, including tumbleweed removal, house sitting, plant watering, and more. Additionally, there are advertisements for yard work, mouse care services, errand services, and pet/plant sitting while on trips. A local Sweet Adelines chapter is seeking new female voices, and items such as a Lowrey console piano and a Yamaha guitar are for sale. Residents can also enjoy free ad postings for items like a J.C. Penney men’s bicycle or assistance with light ironing.
