The Sandia Heights Security Guards provide approximately ninety hours of service per week, with extended hours as more homes support the service. A second phone number, 243-9888, has been added for non-emergency calls when the guard is off duty to ensure all calls are attended to promptly. Speed limit reminders have been issued, with the maximum limit set at 25 MPH and a reminder to drive even slower on certain roads where children and pedestrians frequent to maintain safety. The Homeowners' Association is actively working on enforcing restrictions, urging property owners to comply with regulations to avoid legal actions where necessary.
An upcoming event, the second annual Sandia Heights Arts, Crafts, and Gifts Bazaar, will take place on Sunday, November 14th at the fire station near the Tram base. The event will feature various items for sale, including artworks, crafts, and baked goods, with a raffle for a Kevin Red Star Lithograph to raise funds benefiting the volunteer fire district. Residents are encouraged to attend, connect with neighbors, and support the community while enjoying the bazaar.
