Community surveys on various interests and concerns within Sandia Heights are being compiled by committees, with topics like mandatory membership, speed management on Tramway Blvd., sound reduction along Tramway, emergency response, and covenant enforcement being discussed. An invitation is extended to residents to enjoy an art exhibition showcasing works by Sandia Heights residents and to attend a concert by the Santa Cruz River Band in September. Additionally, a summary of ACC activities and upcoming unified covenants review sessions are highlighted in the newsletter. The issue also includes testimonials and information about various local artists showcasing their work in different mediums.

The newsletter features two artists, Judi Foster and Heather Ropes, each with their unique styles and techniques in painting. Judi Foster, an Expressionist artist, captures the Southwestern landscape through pastels and oils, using veils of color to connect with viewers and earning recognition in national organizations. On the other hand, Heather Ropes paints furniture with whimsical touches and a burst of color, drawing inspiration from various folk art traditions to create one-of-a-kind pieces with varying sizes.
